Party Planning

Not everyone wants to join a group of people for their Christmas Party – so if there are going to be more than 100 people in your party then please call us on 01908 336585 and we can help design your own Christmas Party.
Each year there are more and more choices available, from the traditional Christmas meal to the parties full of theming. There are now websites where you can select the parties you are interested in, which makes the whole process much simpler.
So what makes for a great party – well, there is no answer to this because people’s tastes differ so don’t be offended when your brilliant idea does not press the right buttons with the rest of the team.
What to think about when organising the Christmas Party?
- Where have you been other years and what were the good and bad points
- How many people are coming and will this include partners
- What’s your budget per person and does this include accommodation and drinks and are people paying for themselves or is the company helping out. This should be one of the starting points
- Do you want a traditional or themed party – you should be able to get a good idea for this from the feedback from previous years parties
- Location – how far will people travel. This will also depend on the budget and if you are going to stay overnight
- What’s a good date for everyone – remember if you are after a Friday or Saturday these are the first dates to book up so don’t leave it too late
- Who makes the final decision – if it’s the boss then that is great, the decision is final. If it goes to the vote a little word of advice – limit the choice to say two or three parties, if not you’ll get such a wide response it's likely there will be no outright winner!
TIPS:
The earlier you start planning the better choice of party venue
Don’t expect to please everyone – it’s impossible!
Limit the choice if it’s going out to a vote
